     Hellen Elizebeth Elrod was born on 17 November 1850 at South Carolina.2 Hellen Elizebeth married Levi Freeman between 1868 and 1869.3,4 Hellen died on 19 December 1919 at age 69 years, 1 month and 2 days at Greenville County, South Carolina.2 (Click on the icon to see the image.).2 She was buried on 21 December 1919 at Zoar Church Cemetery in Greer, Greenville County, South Carolina.2
     

Other evidence indicates that Hellen's name may have been Hellen Elrodd.2

Hellen was widowed between 1880 and 1881 when her husband, Levi Freeman, died.5

Hellen moved to Greenville County, South Carolina from Anderson County, South Carolina between 1880 and 1900. She lived there with her daughter, Nancy (Freeman) Brewton.6

The couple was married by the Rev. P. T. Gentry.5,6 George died in 1899 at age 64 years at Missouri of a stroke which had left him ill for several years.4,7 He was buried at Macedonia Cemetery in Audrain County, Missouri.4

     Henry Ess was born at Germany.2 Henry married Catharine Schnider.3,4,5,2 Henry died in 1948.1
     

Henry Ess was also known as Valentine Ess.2

Henry Ess emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1848. He was said to have died of cholera during the crossing.1
