John Howell's mother wrote this information in the 1970's for an unidentified Wise researcher. John included the annotation that his mother shows Mr. Freeman as marrying Mary Leanna Wise and not Mary Magdalene. He believes this is in error, and says that John Wise's wife was Mary Leanna Williams.
