     Sarah A. Smith is believed to have been born on 27 June 1836 at Missouri.2,3,4 Conflicting evidence places her birth in June 1835 at Missouri.5 Sarah A. married Andrew Burkey, son of Peter Burkey and Barbara Wick, on 28 December 1854 at Audrain County, Missouri, in a ceremony performed by Reverend Benjamin Owings.1 Sarah died on 29 May 1911 at age 74 years, 11 months and 2 days at Missouri.2,3 (Click on the icon to see the death certificate image.). She was buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Saling Township, Audrain County, Missouri.3
     

Sarah was widowed on 21 September 1910 when her husband, Andrew, died at Sturgeon, Boone County, Missouri.6
